This has been a year of considerable change for CMP. Our new CEO, Tamzyn Smith, hit the ground running and we said thank you and farewell to our former Chair Fiona Morris who reached the end of her term and was succeeded by interim Co-Chairs Sara Matson and Zoe Partington.

We are proud to have continued our work in providing technical and strategic support to meet the needs of the rich and diverse network of museums across Cornwall, and to build on our strong relationships with funders, practitioners and collaborators alike. And, we have continued our role to be bold in finding new ways to bring investment into our diverse museum sector.

As always, we have horizon-scanned for future and global trends to ensure that the ways in which we work remained informed and invigorated. We are proud to maintain our collaborative leadership approach in delivering projects that tackle key areas for our sector, such as inclusivity, accessibility and climate action.

We remain a strong team of committed experts in our respective fields with a shared passion for museums.

2022–23 at CMP – A foreword from Tamzyn Smith

As our colleagues at Cornwall365 state: “People love to feel connected to the place they live in and museums and galleries allow us to do that.”

Our Highlights

We centre our values and our love for museums and heritage at the heart of everything we do and are therefore incredibly proud of all our work and what we have achieved this year.

Reflections from our Co-Chairs, Sara Matson and Zoe Partington

The realignment of our ACE investment and its former collaborative delivery model will mark a significant change to the way we work at CMP.
